I just stumbled upon So You Want To Teach?, a blog new to me written by a young band director named Joel. He’s a young, enthusiastic teacher with a wealth of technology tips and tricks for teachers as well as practical advice for improving classroom management. I especially like his explanation of RSS and Google Reader. It’s one of the best I’ve seen.
Joel has pledged an unbelievable offer: to design–free of charge–a logo for your blog.” He says he’ll “work with your color scheme and discuss with you what specifics you would like on it.” What a deal! There is one catch: your blog must have “something to do with education.”
In today’s world, visual appeal is as important as content. Visual glitz will never replace meaty content, but, let’s face it–viewers often skip over unattractive sites. Of course, RSS sadly minimizes the beauty of design. Still–it’s hard to pass up a FREE custom design job!

Wow, thanks for the link and plug. I don’t know how much time I have available right now to do the logo designing, but if someone asks for one, it will come eventually…
